A product of CGX’s Leadership Development program, Michelle’s printing career began shortly after graduating from Clemson University in 2005. Through hard work and dedication, Michelle went from being an operations professional to president in less than ten years. She began her career at Courier Printing in an extensive management-training program. At Courier, she worked in a variety of roles, eventually becoming operations manager for four years before being promoted to President at Tucker Printers in 2012. Under her leadership, Tucker experienced unprecedented sales growth, as they solidified their reputation in the packaging industry. In 2019 Michelle returned to Courier as President. Michelle enjoys spending time with her three small children, painting and reading.
Quality Assurance Manager
Rob Thompson started his printing career at age 19. A graduate of the University of Memphis, he has been in printing for over 30 years. He began his career at World Color Press in Covington, TN in 1989 as a Prepress Technician and within 6 years worked his way up to Journeyman 4/C Stripper. He transitioned to Digital Prepress and worked as a Mac Operator at Mercury Printing in Memphis, TN for 13 years. After graduating college in 2006, Rob moved on to Chicago and worked for 5 years as an On-Site Representative with the Marketing team for Midas International, learning a vast amount about the customer side of the printing business. In 2012, Rob came to Courier Printing where he has served various roles such as Project Manager, Large Format Installations Manager, and Outside Purchasing. His experience across many facets of the printing business have led him to his current role Quality Assurance Manager.
Jeff Gladdish grew up in Louisville, KY and started his printing career in a high school vocational graphic arts class. He began running duplicator presses and then went into managing small print shops during the late eighties. He advanced his career to running 40-inch sheetfed presses in the nineties and began managing large commercial pressrooms later on. Jeff started at Courier Printing in 2001 and was involved with the installation of the M600 web press. Jeff now has over 35 years in the printing trade, working with a wide range of sheetfed and web presses. Jeff lives in Clarksville, TN with his wife Karen and dog Buddy. Jeff and Karen enjoy spending time with family and traveling as much as possible.
Scott Bray began his career in commercial printing as a Cutter operator. Over the last 30 years, he has worked in the Seattle Puget Sound area, growing his expertise in all areas of finishing. Scott relocated from the Pacific Northwest to Nashville in 2017, and led the bindery at the State of Tennessee before joining Courier’s team. In his spare time you can find Scott sitting on his deck, picking on his guitar, grilling meats and playing with his dog, Jett.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Ron Ankney began his career working in digital and offset pressrooms. Ron and his family relocated to Nashville in 2010 and joined our team in January 2014. Over the last several years Ron has helped Courier become a true expert in mailing. Due to his leadership, Courier was one of the first local facilities to become USPS Seamless, and E-Induction, growing the department to processing a total of 26 million pieces in 2018. Locally known as a true mailing expert, Ron is sought out for guidance in list processing challenges and interpretation of USPS regulations by RRD mail coordinators across the country. In Ron’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his children and working on home remodeling projects.
Prepress and Digital Manager
Susie Dickinson was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She joined our prepress team shortly after graduating high school, holding a variety of roles in the department, going on to become the Department Manager. Susie’s expertise and leadership over the last 35 years have been critical to helping our customer’s ideas become a reality. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and volunteering through church. Susie is an avid outdoorsman, and often spends her weekends gardening, hiking and ATV trail riding in the mountains.
Kitting and Fulfillment Manager
James Whitaker is from Lynchburg, Tennessee and has over 15 years of general warehousing experience. He is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts and will soon graduate from SNHU with a bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a concentration in Exploring STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) in the summer of 2021. He has worked for Coca-Cola, Newell Rubbermaid, and Brown Forman (Jack Daniel’s). He is excited to be in the printing industry and eager to contribute his knowledge of warehouse operations. He has two daughters that are avid gamers just like their father.
Karri was born in Texas and grew up in Oklahoma. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, Karri started her career in public accounting in Dallas, Texas, where she became a licensed CPA and practiced in the field of assurance/compliance. Karri quickly moved to accounting management, acquiring an extensive background in the manufacturing and construction industries in roles of financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and controllership. Karri brings over 20 years of accounting/finance experience, seven of which are in the printing business. Karri currently lives in Hendersonville, TN with her family. She enjoys being outside, hiking, cooking, writing, and watching her son play travel baseball.
